Beirut

In May 2014 I got the chance to visit Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. I was in some Middle East countries before, so I was quite curious. I took the plane from Zurich, via Istanbul and when I arrived in Beirut there was no luggage… Which was a bit of a nightmare, because I had some very important things with me. Well, thanks god I could pick it up at the airport in the evening, still on the same day. It was a short trip as usual when traveling for business reason and the days were packed but in the evening I got the chance to walk a bit around in Beirut. There was the civil war a few years ago and still some relics. My impression of Beirut was very nice, people were super friendly and helpful and I felt very safe and warmly welcomed.
